Violet "Waffles" Blueberry is a cadet serving her cruise aboard the USS Halcyon. Cadet Blueberry is very friendly and an extremely hard worker, having logged more shuttlecraft simulator hours than any other cadet in the history of the Starfleet Academy's Saturn Flight Range and even surpassing that of many low-ranking shuttlecraft pilots in the fleet. "Waffles" is a nickname given to her by her cadet squad leader during her third year at the Academy. The nickname is an obvious joke reference to her last name, but even more importantly it fits with her personality profile--Cadet Blueberry can be very indecisive when given the opportunity to think things through. In contrast, under pressure situations where there's no time to think things over she's a steadfast decision maker.
Her indecisiveness cost her the chance at being a command-track cadet when she failed the Kobayashi Maru by simply not being able to make up her mind on how to proceed. However by the same measure being quick on her feet resulted in her being able to save the life of a fellow cadet during the Zero Point Incident.
For hobbies Violet likes to cook and be active in physical activities such as Parrises Squares. The latter is a challenge and not really reasonable now that she is in the fleet due to being quite injury-prone.

- GEN 2258: Born in San Mateo, California on January 30th, 2258.
- GEN 2276: Graduated Valedictorian from San Mateo High School.
- GEN 2276: Entered Starfleet Academy after passing her entrance exams on the first try.
- GEN 2278: At the end of her 2nd year Cadet Blueberry takes her attempt at the Kobayashi Maru. She fails due to indecisiveness on her part--first ordering the ship into the Neutral Zone, then belaying it and trying a diplomatic approach before questioning whether that will work. Before she can finally make up her mind what to do the Kobayashi Maru is lost. Given her non-aptitude for command, she applies and is accepted for full-time training at the Saturn Flight Range. She had already showed promise as a shuttle pilot previously.
- GEN 2278: Despite the fact that she hasn't officially started classes at the Saturn Flight Range, Violet spends her entire mid-year break in Shuttlecraft Simulation Pods at the Academy instead of the typical sightseeing done by cadets on Earth.
- GEN 2278: Starts classes at the Saturn Flight Range. Given that she has more simulator hours in the books than most 4th year cadets she is given the basic flight test early and manages to impress. Cadet Blueberry is subsequently assigned to Theta Squadron as the only 3rd year cadet.
- GEN 2278: As part of her initiation into Theta Squadron, Cadet Blueberry is given the nickname "Waffles".
- GEN 2278: The Zero Point Incident occurs 17 December, only the second major accident involving a cadet squadron. No one is seriously injured despite the near loss of life by Cadet Blueberry and another, but Theta Squadron is grounded while an investigation commences.
- GEN 2279: Once classes resume Violet returns to the Simulators, jumping back and forth between shuttlecraft and Starship simulators due to scheduling conflicts with classes and students.
- GEN 2279: After a two month investigation is concluded, Theta Squadron flight privelages are re-instated.
- GEN 2279: At the end of year Academy Ceremonies, Cadet Blueberry is called up front by the Commandant of the Academy despite not being a soon-to-be Ensign. She is personally commended by the Commandant for her role in saving the life of a fellow cadet in the Zero Point Incident.
- GEN 2279: Cadet Blueberry starts 4th year as Theta Squadron Squad Leader. She is given the chance to select the four other members of her squad and chooses three fellow 4th years and the strongest incoming 3rd year, trying to start a tradition.
