Star Trek: the Wine Dark Sea uses the following as the basis of its canon:

Non-Canon material

All shows, movies, websites and books not listed are not considered canon by default. In some cases staff may include material from books or movies, but this is on a case by case basis. This includes the LUG books. They are not canon by default.

Use of Info In Character Development

When developing your character, use information from the above canon sources and the game's website. All other sources may result in problems with your character and may result in denials.

The best non-game website for you to use is Memory Alpha. However, watch the information you get from the site. It will list sources so make sure that you use information from one of the canon shows listed above.

If a website does not list the source, then it's suspect. If the source is not from one of the canon source, either do not use it or check with staff first via a +request.
