Infirmary

A station or ship contains an infirmary or sickbay which is a dedicated medical facility. It contains a clinic, a medical research laboratory and an intensive care unit. The intensive care units have several biobeds, which contain medical sensors. The biobeds also support an arching support frame (SSF) that attaches to the top of the bed. The SSF contains sensors, equipment to perform basic medical procedures, and can generate a force field to isolate patients and maintain a sterile work area.
