The Klingon Empire is a major power in the Alpha Quadrant and a member of the Federation alliance against the Dominion.


The Klingons have their own set of medals and decorations.

The Litany of Fealty is a Klingon rite in which Houses of the Empire swear loyalty to the Emperor on a regular basis and thereby maintain their legal rite to exist. Houses which fail to do so are outlawed, and their holdings confiscated. Any claim to the representative of the Emperor, such as a Klingon Ambassador, that a House has failed to undergo the Litany must be handled immediately under the letter of Klingon law.
