From Star Trek: Gamma One
In the case of any discrepancy between the news files on the game and those here on the wiki, the news files on the game are correct version.
NOTE: Currently we are not allowing alts. Some players still have an alt from when we were offering them and those players were allowed to keep their alts when this policy changed
It is the intent of staff to be inclusive rather than exclusive in offering plots. Hence, there will be times, such as during seasons of the Star Trek: Gamma One storyline when more than one ship or station is featured for day-to-day use, that more than one PC is permitted to players. At all such times, however, the following guidelines shall be enforced:
- Only one of a player's characters shall be permitted to hold a Department Head, Assistant Department Head, or senior/line qualified Command Branch officer at any given time.

- A player's alternate PCs will not be permitted to roleplay with one another directly.
- A player's alternate PCs will not be permitted to compete with one another for promotions or transfers.
- A player's alternate PCs will be permitted neither to share resources or backgrounds nor have other conflicts of interest. This includes having your two alts in the same branch, or two alts on the same ship.
- Staff reserves the right to 'compress' the player base with fair warning, and require players to prepare to lose alternate PCs. When this happens, we will make every effort to be fair in competition for various slots, but as noted in 'news advancement' we cannot guarantee plum jobs to anyone.
