News Files:CDB Retirement

In the case of any discrepancy between the news files on the game and those here on the wiki, the news files on the game are correct version.
Staff reserve the right to retire a CDB character at any point. We will attempt to review and retire CDB PCs which are not currently in use. However, in some cases (those of CDB Characters who have been in active use for a long time) we may need to review the PC and retire it.
Retirement will occur when staff feel that a CDB Character has become too developed and specialized. A CDB Character would not become a Department Head. If a CDB Character reaches the rank of Lieutenant, or promotes to a billet like a Deputy Department Head, then that CDB Character will be on the short list for retirement.
These PCs are designed to be reusable and equivalent to starting level PCs. Given the above restrictions a CDB Character should be viable for two to three years of roleplay.
