News Files:Cadets
From Star Trek: Gamma One
In the case of any discrepancy between the news files on the game and those here on the wiki, the news files on the game are correct version.
There are only three cadet postings more prestigious than the first real in-depth exploration and colonization of the Gamma Quadrant:
- USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E (the flagship of the whole Fleet)
- USS Zhukov NCC-26136 (Ambassador class diplomatic flagship which is part of the First Fleet)
- The Presidential Honor Guard.
Aside from the lucky five or six cadets to earn assignments to the above posts, posting as a cadet to Task Force Gamma One is as good of an assignment as a cadet can get. The cadet's work ethic and success at the posting with Task Force Gamma One can make or break the cadet's career.
As such, cadets who are flagrant rule-breakers or who cause mischief and problems will not be ICly tolerated. Such actions will break their career and result in them being transfered elsewhere to free up the prestigious billets for other cadets. (Note, this does not mean a cadet will be transferred away because he or she made a mistake; the concern here is cadets who continually cause trouble and show little to no signs of becoming a strong officer.)
