In the case of any discrepancy between the news files on the game and those here on the wiki, the news files on the game are correct version.
If a player wishes to have a NPC child (and purchases the Dependent merit and any other appropriate stats in chargen) a player may be granted permission to have the child NPC. We do recommend that before going through character generation and buying the stats that the players +request and ask if we are accepting more children NPCs.
Players will not be allowed to be play children PCs themselves. There will be no exceptions to this.
If, after approval, you wish your PC to become pregnant (or even adopt a child) you must +request and get approval from staff. You may roleplay the desire to have a child, but to actually become pregnant you must have permission.
NOTE: The USS Marathon is not a family ship. Spouses are not permitted on it unless they are also part of the active duty roster. Children are never permitted on it. If you wish to have a child NPC you must be applying for a USS Vanguard roster spot. If you wish to become pregnant, be aware that you will be required to transfer off of the USS Marathon. For junior officers this should not pose a problem as there should be space on the Vanguard. For senior officers however, this can result in problems due to lack of open billets.
