In the case of any discrepancy between the news files on the game and those here on the wiki, the news files on the game are correct version.
The following are the clearance levels for the game. This controls what information and reports you have access to. You can do '+clearance' to see your own clearance and if you think there is a problem, please +request.

| 1 | Civilian Specialists |
| 2 | Allied Personnel |
| 3 | Starfleet |
| 4 | Security and Assistant Department Heads |
| 5 | Department Heads and most Counter-Intel Officers, |
| 6 | Executive Officers and some Counter-Intel Officers |
| 7 | Commanding Officers and some Executive Officers |
| 8 | Starfleet Intelligence and the Admiralty |
Remember that these levels are Starfleet's Security Clearances. While, for example, the Romulans would have their own it doesn't affect the game.
