News Files:Opposed Contests
From Star Trek: Gamma One
Sometimes you may need to roll against another player instead of rolling against a difficulty. In that case you are making an opposed contest.
The two players will each make a roll against the skill and specialty without indicating a difficulty. The higher roll is the winner. If both rolls are the same then the person with the higher drama die score wins. If both rolls and both drama die are the same, then the person initiating the action will win.
Up to four courage points can be applied to the roll to achieve a success.
