From Star Trek: Gamma One
In the case of any discrepancy between the news files on the game and those here on the wiki, the news files on the game are correct version.
On Star Trek: Gamma One we ask that most questions and requests be submitted via +request. We know that in some cases this seems like overkill, but we use the +jobs (which +request is part of) to track work.
Submitting a +request has the following benefits:
- All staff see it, so your request is not sitting in an @mail inbox waiting for the attention of a single staffer.
- When a +request is answered, all staff see the response. This way all staff are on the same page when it comes to decisions and information, since all staff have access to the information.
- Answered requests are archived, and thus the information you received is on file through the staff portion of the website for referencing at any point in the future.
- If a staffer is assisting you and retires, goes on vacation, gets sick or otherwise can't handle it, it will not be lost.
