Photon Grenade

Photon grenades are short range explosive devices capable of producing a variable yield. At the lowest settings, they can be used to stun the occupants of an enclosed area with no ill effects. A common usage at this setting is for stunning the contents of a compartment or other location before breaching the the room or transporting into it. At the maximum setting, the grenades have a highly destructive blast range of over 200 meters. During the 2260s, they were capable of being launched via mortar tubes.
