Located in San Francisco on Earth, Starfleet Academy is the training institution for all uniformed officers serving in Starfleet. In addition to the main campus, there are a number of satellite campuses and other affiliated facilities throughout the Federation. The commanding officer of Starfleet Academy, and also the Corps of Cadets, is known as the superintendant. The institution also maintains a prestigious staff, consisting of some of the best Starfleet officers and brightest minds in the Federation. Starfleet Academy offers a standard baccalaureate degree as well as advanced degrees in several areas.

The Starfleet Academy College of Medicine (SACOM) is also located at Starfleet Academy. SACOM offers practioner-level medical doctorates.

Training Bases, Annexes and Satellite Campuses

Technical Services Academy

NCOs can attend a branch campus called the Technical Services Academy on Located on Mars, instead of SFA on Earth, NCOs can attend this branch if they do not have sufficient technical background to handle the more advanced stuff at SFA on Earth. It's intermediate-level courseowork in systems and theory for non-Engineers/non-Science NCOs. Engineering and Science and Medical NCOs would go to Earth because they have the absorbed knowledge to handle advanced level coursework in their chosen field.

France

This is a branch campus for adminstration, JAG and diplomacy.

New Zealand

This is a branch campus for security and peacekeeping.

Jupiter Station

This is a branch campus for computer research.

Pluto Station

Saturn Flight School

The Saturn Flight School and Range is a Starfleet installation. It conducts flight training for Starfleet Academy cadets. Its first class began training in 2255 under the direction of Starfleet Captain Henrik Schuyler.

The school has suffered two substantial accidents. In the 2260's a cadet flight team of 5 was lost attempting to perform the Kolvoord Starburst Maneuver. In December 2278 two cadets were nearly lost in the Zero Point Incident.

Beta Aquilae II

Medical technology and nursing, and some other SACOM classes are taught here.

Beta Ursae Minor II

This is a campus for bioengineering, microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, and similar classes.

Psi Upsilon III

Warp field dynamics, subspace field theory, and other advanced physics and astrometrics coursework is covered here.

Sauria II Campus

There is a special Saurian-only branch campus on Sauria II. This campus covers only the first two years of Starfleet Academy Training and afterward Saurian cadets transfer to one of the other specialty schools or to the primary campus in San Francisco.
