- GEN 2220: Surok is born three weeks premature aboard SS Saarik, Federation freighter of Vulcan registry, to Ravok and T'lara of Vulcan.
- GEN 2245: Surok matriculates to Starfleet Academy and begins his first-year studies.
- GEN 2246: Surok begins study as a Starfleet helmsman taking courses in leadership and piloting. He joins the academy flight team and participates in the Starfleet Academy multi-style martial arts tournament.
- GEN 2247: Surok joins the Starfleet Academy rock climbing team. He competes in the Starfleet Academy multi-style martial arts tournament and is scored among the top-rated non-security personnel to have competed in Academy history.
- GEN 2248: Surok is assigned to Utopia Planetia Fleet Yards as a shuttle pilot for his cadet cruise.
- GEN 2249: Surok graduates from Starfleet Academy and is commissioned as an Ensign. He is assigned as a helmsman to the T'Pari class deep-space surveyor USS Sorok for its mission fulfilling the Starfleet mandates of science and exploration.
- GEN 2254: Surok is assigned as junior officer of the watch and shuttle pilot to the Kitty Hawk class USS Bleriot for its mission of border-defense.
- GEN 2255: Surok participates in major skirmishes against Sheliak Corporate forces in defense of Federation holdings in de Laure Belt. He successfully flies in numerous combat and rescue operations before the end of hostilities. He is promoted lieutenant, junior grade in recognition of his actions.
- GEN 2257: Surok participates flight operations to locate and force Takrian raiders from territories in the Mestus expanse.
- GEN 2262: Surok participates in rescue operations during the Bortan Hostage Crisis successfully delivering security forces and rescuing hostages.
- GEN 2263: Surok is certified as a line officer.
- GEN 2265: Surok is assigned to Saturn Flight School and Range as a Flight Instructor.
- GEN 2268: Surok testifies before a Starfleet board of inquiry regarding the loss of five-students during a training exercise. He is cleared of any negligence as an instructor. His testimony that performing Kolvoord Starburst has "no logical purpose" in cadet flight-training serves as supporting evidence for the decision to ban the maneuver as a matter of academy policy. He is reassigned from duties as an instructor to work as a liaison from Starfleet Academy to the Judge Advocate General's Office to revise the training policies for the Saturn School.
- GEN 2269: Surok is relieved of his administrative position with Starfleet Academy. He is granted temporary duty orders to report for training for a three year course of study in security and investigation divided between the Starfleet Academy campuses in France, New Zealand, and SACOM.
- GEN 2272: Surok successfully completes the course of study at Starfleet Academy. He is assigned to the Judge Advocate General's Office at Starbase 15 as a field-investigator.
- GEN 2273: Surok is placed on detached duty from Starbase 15 and assigned as a special-investigator along with members of Starfleet Security to investigate the death of Lieutenant (Junior Grade) Ken Kurosawa on Communications Post Delta-9 in Sector 2874.
- GEN 2274: Surok closes the investigation into the death of Lt (jg) Kurosawa following the arrest of three Starfleet Officers for charges which included Treason, Murder, Accessory to Murder, Obstruction of Justice, Tampering with Evidence, and Conduct Unbecoming an Officer. The remainder of the year is spent in trial at Starfleet Headquarters. Following the trial Surok is assigned to detached duty from Starbase 15 to the Cimera III Outpost at the behest of the Federation Merchant Marine Service to conduct investigations there.
- GEN 2276: Surok investigates allegations of gross misconduct by a Starfleet Officer on the Azoran Trade Outpost. While conducting the official investigation Surok is attacked by Syndicate agent Dav Wissark. Surok is wounded and placed on administrative leave for two weeks while the matter is investigated. The attacker is arrested by Azoran law enforcement who refuse to grant the Federation jurisdiction. Dav Wissark serves sixty days for the attack.
- MED 2276: Surok suffered a stab wound 2.54 centimeters wide and 7.62 centimeters deep at 2.2 centimeters below the middle portion of his left clavicle. The wound is treated and closed by Azoran physician Dr. Malk Doogas prior to being attended by Lieutenant Commander John Wallace aboard the USS Liberty.
- GEN 2278: Surok is relieved of his detached duties from Starbase 15 and transferred to Starfleet Headquarters to conduct a special-investigation into the "Zero Point Incident" due to his experience in both piloting and the policies of the Saturn Flight School.
- GEN 2279: Following a request for reassignment, Surok is relieved of his position with the Judge Advocate General's Office. He is assigned to Starfleet Security and posted to the USS Halcyon as Security Chief.
